Welcome to the Python component of CH12004: Skills for chemists!

This section of the course will teach you the basics of programming in Python, with a focus on applications in chemistry and data analysis. Whether you are completely new to programming or have some prior experience, this course is designed to help you build a solid foundation in Python programming.

The skills you will learn here are increasingly important for chemists, as data analysis and computational methods become more integral to research and industry. By the end of this course, you should be comfortable writing simple Python scripts, manipulating data, and using python packages which are relevant to chemistry.
